My life was a total hell storm starting out. I was born to a high class noble family with a number of brothers. I always got into trouble with the law and scared away most of my suitors. Who wanted to marry me for a shot of bonding with my family name, but I did like a couple of them over the years.
Now in the adolescent stage of my life, the lightning god summoned me and told me I had promise. With my permission I fused with a divine beast and I became a legend in my own life. The wolf tiger raiju of lightning blessed me with abilities far greater than any average soldier. Allowing me to turn into a far more dangerous thunder creature. I was shipped off to be personally trained by a great warrior until I reached the age of 58. The great king of Thunder Kitsune’s recognized my talents and drafted me into his service.
I couldn't have been happier. To think I would be a leader in king July's army. No soldier could have asked for a greater honor. The night after I joined his ranks he asked me to join him in his bed chamber. I was scared of what I thought he wanted to do with me. But I misjudged just how twisted he was. My arms were chained to the ceiling and I was beaten hard. I chipped one of my teeth that night. I don't think I have to say what he did to me next. After that night whenever I saw him I was to expect the same thing. Luckily I learned to put a cloth between my teeth.
Years later, I rescued his niece and we started a movement against him. My brothers sided with him and I never looked back at what an evil man he was.
My personality is very timid unless someone rubs my fur the wrong way. Sakuya his niece respects my strength and authority, but often asks why I put up with the abuse. I tell her each time, that loyalty will win any battle.
Sakuya
Narrated by herself
I have the worst uncle in all of existence. I know he is the king and I used to serve his every order, but the guy is absolutely awful. He promised me to some prick on a whim for a little extra land. And when I questioned him about it he sentenced me to death. My general stood up for me and she got the death sentence too. Thank Inari's tails we got out of it and turned on him. Dying really would have sucked but thankfully I got out of it.
I was blessed with many gifts, homing lightning, precision and my favorite ability is mastering talisman magic. But above all else the lightning god Raijin granted me his mark and blessing. It took forever to master channeling a limitless power supply, but I got it down now.
The one thing people question when they first see me are my eyes. I was born with fox eyes not kitsune ones. It's a great benefit when running super fast. I can dash and jump just like a animal fox does. Like I said I'm blessed with precision because my eyes give me a street smart sense.
I have been told by many that I have an untamable personality ever since I rebelled against my uncle. I used to be timid and docile. Hey, being promised to an abusive prick may have been the best thing that ever happened to me.
I have other generals besides Jault, some I found and some who defected. But I am closest to Jault and view her like a big sister or even a second mother. I'm sure she feels the same way about me too.
Little July- AKA Jewel
Narrated by Jault
Someone made a law that if you name your newborn after a month on Earth's calendar. They automatically have a shot at the throne of their people. The down side is these children are often killed off by competitors. Little July of house Sander was given this blessing and curse. King July found out about her when she was 12 years old from a source he trusted. Little July hid in a secret room while her family was slaughtered and her sister was killed posing as her.
I arrived on the scene on Sakuya's order far to late to save the family. But not to late to follow July's crying in her hiding place. It was awkward when she grabbed hold of me and wouldn't let go. I held her tight out of motherly Instinct and I brought her to Sakuya. There was a great tension present upon arrival. When Sakuya realized she wouldn't always be calling the shots if her uncle was over thrown.
We call her Jewel to Keep her identity secret from unfriendly eyes. And she has adopted me as a mother and Sakuya as a big sister.
Jewel spends her time reading books and trying to help whenever she can. Sakuya teaches her how to be a ruler and manners to be a lady. Sakuya wasn't happy she was replaced, but excepted like a loyal subject should.
One day when I came back from protecting a fortress for a few months. I had bought a comb made of jade for her tails. Ever since that day, Jewel brings it everywhere like a security blanket. Her tails haven't started producing lightning, but when she mature's. I'll be glad that comb isn't made from metal or plastic.
